Media on the Web

An online document that explores the use of PhotoShop as a rhetorical tool. This project demonstrates my capabilities with PhotoShop, as well as my web design skills. The project is framed in terms of a rhetorical analysis of how images, specifically images manipulated in PhotoShop, can be used to strengthen the argument in a visually-based product.

The People’s Writing Workshop: Rhetorical Analysis of Non-Profit Website Patterns

This project's aim is two-fold. First, it seeks to identify patterns found in non-profit organization websites. Second, it applies theses patterns to the re-design of the website for People's Writing Workshop. The PWW is a free community workshop that offers help with reading, any kind of writing, and computer skills - basically anything involving words.

As a rhetorical analysis, this project determines the most appropriate and effective patterns found on non-profit websites and implement them in a website re-design. The redesign meets all the needs for a non-profit website by meeting the audience and purpose demands of the PWW website whilst implementing observed patterns.
